HOW THE MPC WORKS
Property owners and developers present new projects to the MPC. An MPC subcommittee, normally comprised of one member from each of the four constituent groups, then works with applicants to facilitate compliance with the Comprehensive Plan.
Upon review of a project, the MPC takes a position or makes a recommendation to support or not support the project. These positions are then forwarded to the Dranesville District Supervisor and other County regulatory agencies that may have jurisdictional review authority of the project.
